Covenant

Covenant: Trusting in God’s everlasting covenant with us.

Have you ever stopped to think about the difference between a covenant and a contract?  Two words that sound similar but are quite different. One of the big problems today in our culture is that we think only in terms of contracts and never covenants. Having lost our understanding of covenants, we default to thinking exclusively in terms of contracts; agreements made contingent on both parties holding up their ends.  Perhaps that is why we often find it hard to approach God because we are concerned with what happens when we don’t uphold our end of the deal. Does God renege on his promises even when we break ours?  Join us as we journey these next few weeks toward Easter and reflect on God being a covenantal God.
