Prayer Walk – Station 3

STATION 3

You should now have moved down the stairs of Latimer into the basement, the soon-to-be children’s space. At the bottom of the steps make 2 right turns into the room which will be the registration space for children’s ministry.

According to Mark 10 14-16 Jesus said,

“Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.”  And he took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them.

Mark 9: 35-37 tells us of another instance when Jesus spoke regarding children:

And he sat down and called the twelve. And he said to them, “If anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all.” And he took a child and put him in the midst of them, and taking him in his arms, he said to them, “Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me, receives not me but him who sent me.”

Imagine story time.  What is your favorite Bible story?  Envision yourself reading that story to a circle of children here in this space.  Reconsider Mark 9:35-37.

Pray these words: Lord, as Jesus said : Let the children come.  Come and be safe.  Come, not just to learn about you but come and experience you in a way they will carry through their lives and be passed on from generation to generation.

Ask God to reveal how he would involve you in ministry to the next generation.

Walk on through the proposed children’s area praying as you are led in each room.

When ready move to station 4
