Prayer Walk – Station 5

Make your way toward the exit on the lower level and weather permitting step outside.  Find a spot where you can get a good view of downtown Woodstock.  If Jerusalem was the center of Jesus’ ministry, then this is our Jerusalem.  What is it that inspires you about this town?

Hear Luke 19:41-42

As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it and said, “If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace-but now it is hidden from your eyes.

Is there something you wish the people of this city would know, but is now hidden from their eyes?

Reflect on John 7: 37-38.

Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink.  Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”

What evidence do you see that people here are thirsty?  Are they thirsty for beverage or are they thirsty for hope? For community? A place to belong?  As you step outside, turn and look upon Latimer Hall from this perspective.  Imagine a façade that draws people in to receive Living Water.

Pray as the Holy Spirit leads you.   When ready, move to the next station on the lawn of the church in front of the sanctuary building.
