Dear Friends & Family of The Way,

Late yesterday the conference asked that all United Methodist Churches suspend in-person worship over the next two weeks.  While we have already put additional sanitation measures in place on campus, we have elected to go virtual for worship to further help stop the spread of this virus and keep as many at risk folks as safe as we can. Stay tuned as the situation changes, we will further adapt.

For this Sunday:

Join us online in Worship at 9:30 or 11:00 via:TheWayWoodstock.Online.Church.  You will be able to sing along to praise songs, listen to the message, and interact with pastors and prayer team through private online chat rooms.

Children & Students – There will be NO regular gathering this Sunday but look for interactive devotions from Brittany for families to engage with around the dinner table at home.

Weekday Ministries:

Small Groups and 3rd Party Groups that utilize campus may continue to meet at their discretion. If your group is not meeting, please communicate with Allen by email or calling the church office: 678-445-3480.

Supporting Those Most Impacted:

Several of you have already begun to ask great questions about what we can do to help those most impacted. First, I want you to know that we are communicating with both the county school systems and our parachurch ministry partners as to how best to support children during this time. Stay tuned for ways you can join with the efforts being put in place. Secondly, those that are homebound, we have folks willing and able to assist you with deliveries and other needs. Contact Marianne Butler for any assistance you need or if you would like to join this vital ministry: 770-595-0813.

Please join us in praying for:  The people who have been or will be impacted by this virus. Those who will be financially impacted .  Those of us who are in a place of great fear and worry.  Our city, county, state, country and the world

Redeeming this time:

Pastor Leonard of Liberty Hill and I were comparing notes earlier today and I want to share with you the ways we can redeem what appears to be a few challenging weeks ahead. This can be an opportunity. An opportunity to reclaim and recapture what it means to be fully present with our family, friends and neighbors.  Take the free time you have been granted to spend significant and quality time with the people in your immediate lives.  Share a meal without any distractions, take a long walk, play games, pray together…anything that helps you connect to those God has placed in your life. Spend time in praise and worship, thanksgiving and contemplation on the blessings in your life.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to Pastor Ann or myself if you need any thoughts or guidance as to what this might look like for you and your family. We are here for you and your family in any way that you might need.

Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Praying for you all,

Pastor Andy
